Have you recently noticed your ex girlfriend paying you more attention, leading you to ask yourself “Does my ex want to get back together with me?”  If so, then this may be exactly what she is trying to do. In fact, there are definitely some very common signals that she’s interested in getting back with you.

If your ex girlfriend is expressing a little more interest in you, and appears more interested in going out and spending more time with you than before, or if you observe signs that she is attempting to flirt with you, then it’s alright to be a little optimistic, but you need to avoid getting ahead of yourself.

Even if you would like to get back together with your ex, you shouldn’t just jump into things without a plan. The best way to handle the situation is to play “hard to get” (don’t overdo it), which is likely what she will best react to anyhow.

If you just jump into things at full speed, then you may discover your ex pushing you back again. As a matter of fact, if your ex girlfriend is giving signs that she wants to be back with you, then the odds are, it was you playing “hard to get” that contributed to the renewed interest to begin with.

Normally, when you break up with your ex girlfriend, or she breaks up with you, there’s a natural feeling of missing one another, or a desire to get back together. This is particularly true coming after a relationship that had lasted a year or longer. She is likely going to miss you regardless, because of the many memories that were shared between the two of you during this time.

But remember there are additional emotions that will resurface, including past regrets.  So if you’re asking “Does my ex want to get back together with me?”, the likelihood is that she might be thinking the same thing for the same exact reasons.

Something you should be aware of is that occasionally, when an ex expresses interest once again after a break up, it’s just a game. She may realize that you love her, and may only be attempting to acquire your attention, without really meaning to get back with you.

Therefore, unless your ex girlfriend genuinely appears interested in spending time with you, she may only be passing the time since she doesn’t have any other prospects on the horizon. Worst of all she might figure this as an opportunity to get revenge for some perceived wrong. This is the reason it’s crucial not to “jump the gun,” and the reason you should concentrate on understanding the situation before you act.

In fact, if your ex girlfriend would like to get back with you, playing “hard to get” (in moderation) is the most favorable scenario as it will keep you from getting hurt if she’s not genuine about getting back together with you.
